The access to the Bahía Blanca harbor area, is a recently deepened channel, 190 m wide and 97 km. long, 45' deep. A modern beacon system (69 solar beacons) grants safe conditions for nightly navigation. Its features and lanes can be seen in the chart shown at the Strategic Links section.
Navigation is permanently monitored by VTS, which grants a safer navitation through the channel.
