Jorge Otharán, the Consortium President, was one of the speakers on “Foreign Trade of Farm Products through the Logistics Corridor”

In the frame of the new edition of the Agricultural Trade Fair in General Pico, province of La Pampa, last Friday September 11th, a new series of speeches were delivered by Jorge Otharán, the Consortium President, together with Gabriel Perrin, Patagonia Norte manager, Fernando Echaiz from Ferroexpreso Pampeano and Julio Sanchez, staff member of General Pico Free Trade Zone – Industrial and Logistics Area.

The seminar dealt with Foreign Trade of Farm Products through the Logistics Corridor. Advantages and Benefits and thespeakers depicted general and historical features and gave an approach of each one of the participating agencies and corporations, but the core of the seminar had to do with a reduction in the price of costs and time of producers of General Pico and the surrounding area when they make use of the services provided by the Consortium, Patagonia Norte and FEPSA to export their production.

The audience was expectant having into account that container movements have already been carried out via railway between General Pico Free Trade Zone and the port terminal operated by Patagonia Norte.
